Abstract

Technology plays an important role in supporting the smooth communication process for each individual. The Directorate of Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases (P2PTM) of the Indonesian Ministry of Health utilizes this by making the Instagram platform as a media for disseminating information about health to the public. They created an Instagram account named @ p2ptmkemenkesri. This research uses Elaboration Likelihood Theory which will only focus on one dimension, namely Strong Arguments. This study uses a quantitative approach with a type of descriptive research. The results of this study indicate that the information provided by the Instagram @ p2ptmkemenkesri account has an influence on increasing knowledge about health for Instagram account followers @ p2ptmkemenkesri. This is because the content is consistent about health, the information presented can attract attention, and make followers of the Instagram account @ p2ptmkemenkesri know information about health.
