Abstract

The Corruption Eradication Commission or Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi (KPK) is an institution, since established, has gained numerous sympathy and has become the public’s hope. Efforts to eradicate corruption requires strong commitment from the KPK itself and all parties, especially public officials. With the absence of commitment, corruption eradication would be nothing. This research is conducted to determine how far KPK and its official to fight corruption. The topic is chosen because of how common it is the news of corruption among Indonesian.

The unit of analysis was text title of news coverage for 4 months during 2017, 2018, and 2019, that are analyzed through framing analytics. Furthermore, using a qualitative approach, this research discovered the existence of different commitment for efforts eradicating corruption within KPK and public officials. This research will benefit by exposing the role of media in showing facts related with the commitment of public officials in efforts to eradicate corruption.
