Hayula: Indonesian Journal of Multidisciplinary Islamic Studies is a multilingual (Bahasa Indonesia, Arabic, and English) and peer-reviewed journal, published biannually since 2017 (January and July).  It covers the area of broader Islamic Studies related to the Indonesian context, including the study of the Qur'an, Quranic Exegesis, Hadith, Islamic Philosophy, Theology, Islamic Education, Da’wah, Islamic Economy, Muslim Societies and Cultures, Islamic History, Languages related to Islam, and Islamic Mysticism. This journal is published by the Department of Islamic Education, Faculty of Social Sciences, Universitas Negeri Jakarta.

The journal invites scholars and experts working in all disciplines of Islamic Studies. Articles should be original, research-based, unpublished and not under review for possible publication in other journals. All submitted papers are subject to the study of the editors, editorial board, and blind reviewers. Submissions that violate our guidelines on formatting or length will be rejected without review.

Articles should be written in Bahasa Indonesia, English or Arabic between 10.000-15.000 words, including text, all tables, figures, notes, references, and appendices intended for publication. All submissions must include 150 words of abstract and five keywords. Quotations, passages, and words in local or foreign languages should be translated into Bahasa. Hayula accepts only electronic submissions. All manuscripts should be emailed in ms word file type to journalhayula@unj.ac.id.

Hayula: Indonesian Journal of Multidisciplinary Islamic Studies is a biannual journal published by the Department of Islamic Education, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, in partnership with ADPISI (Asosiasi Dosen PAI Seluruh Indonesia) and APKI (Asosiasi Prodi Keagamaan Islam).

The journal is accredited by the Directorate General of Higher Education Ministry of National Education and Culture, Republic of Indonesia. Sinta, DOAJ, IPI, Crossref, Citeulike, ResearchBib, Openaire, PKPIndex, Base, Academia, Google Scholar, Academic Search, Scilit, Indonesia One Search, Word Cat, Moraref index articles published in Hayula.

The editors welcome scholars, researchers and practitioners of Islamic Studies worldwide to submit scholarly articles to be published in this journal. All papers will be reviewed by the selected expert in the field before acceptance advice. Each author is solely responsible for the content of published articles.
