Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of PORPI disco gymnastics with Physical Therapy Fitness 2000 one version in improving physical fitness. This research was conducted at State Senior High School 106 East Jakarta from June 23, 2002 to August 11, 2002 as many as 20 meetings. The method used is pre and post test method. Random sampling technique from 115 people then taken as many as 40 people samples. Data analysis using t test at significant level 0,05. From the final test of the PORPI disco exercise group (x) and the final test of the physical fitness group of 2000 versions of one (y) in the mean value of different error mean = 6,435 and t value = 3,729 (t table = 2,042), it is concluded that the exercise PORPI disco gymnastics is more effective in comparison with the physical exercise of Physical Fitness 2000 version one to increase the physical freshness of the second grade students of SMU Negeri 106 Pekayon, East Jakarta.
