Abstract

The instructional model is one of the elements that must be mastered by teachers whose purpose is to create a more pleasant and more efficient learning atmosphere so that students can understand the material delivered more optimally. Currently there have been many innovative learning models that have been applied in the learning process. For this reason, the idea was raised in conducting training on the application of innovative instructional models in the elementary schools in the Sukamakmur sub-district. The purpose of community service activities is 1) increasing teacher understanding of innovative instructional models, 2) improving teacher skills in applying instructional models. The target of this community service activity is elementary school teachers in the Sukamakmur sub-district, Bogor, with a duration of one month. Activities will take place through providing information through presentations on innovative instructional models, discussions with participants, and discussing the strengths and weaknesses of each innovative instructional model. After going through the discussion process, the next step is simulation of an innovative instructional model. The results of the community service activities are in the form of 1) increasing teacher understanding of innovative instructional models, 2) increasing teacher skills in applying instructional models so that the knowledge gained during the community service activities can be directly used by teachers in the classroom.
