Survei Loss Profile Budidaya Udang Akibat Bahan Kimia pada Petambak Tradisional di Kabupaten Serang, Provinsi Banten
The purpose of research is to find the data to know the potential losses experienced by shrimp farmers in terms of frequency (number of possible occurrence) and severity, to determine the risk status of loss profile caused by chemicals. The survey was conducted in April 2017. The research was conducted in 2 (two) kecamatan of Kabupaten Serang namely Pontang and Tirtayasa. From the Kecamatan Pontang, the survey was conducted in 5 five Desa/ Kelurahan with 20 (twenty) fish farmers while in Kecamatan Tirtayasa conducted in 1 (one) Desa / Kelurahan with 9 (nine) fishponders, so the total number of farmers surveyed amounted to 29 (twenty-nine) persons. The results concluded that the risk of crop failure caused by chemicals is not the growth of shrimp seeds maximally and the most severe the death of shrimp seeds due to poisoning by chemicals in pond water. This is because traditional shrimp farmers do not check / measure water quality that is suitable for shrimp farming before. In addition, the pollution from the paper industry PT Indah Kiat which dispose of waste into the river Ciujung causing some money farmers in Kabupaten Serang suffered losses because the shrimps in the ponds are poisoned. Almost all farmers in Kabupaten Serang have never studied shrimp farming techniques before they start their business as farmers.
