Abstract

Abstract

This study is aimed to obtain a valid, trusted and empirical data in regards to the relationship between the education of cosmetic ingredients and the cosmetics buying decision behaviour on 30 female students from the class of 2013 Tata Rias Education. The 30 female students have been taking Basic Chemistry and Cosmetic Chemistry classes were selected as the target population. The results from validity test are variable X was 30 and variable Y was 26 valid instrument.The research instrument has a very high level of reliability. The population distribution was normal. Analysis of the data using the pearson product moment and t-test showed that r count was 0,588 bigger than r table which was only 0,361 and t count was 3,84 while t table was only 2,04, meaning that the t-test was significant. In conclusion, Ho was rejected while Ha was accepted. It can be seen from the information above that there is a significant relationship between the education of cosmetic ingredients (X) and the cosmetics buying decision behaviour (Y) of the students of Tata Rias Education.

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan data yang sahih, dan dapat dipercaya secara empiris mengenai Hubungan Pengetahuan Komposisi Bahan Kosmetika Dengan Perilaku Keputusan Membeli Kosmetika, survei pada Mahasiswi Program Studi Pendidikan Tata Rias. Populasi target dalam penelitian ini adalah Mahasiswi angkatan 2013 Pendidikan Tata Rias sebanyak 30 orang yang telah mengambil mata kuliah Kimia Dasar dan Kimia Kosmetik. Hasil dari uji validitas yaitu variabel X sebanyak 30 dan variabel Y sebanyak 26 instrumen yang telah valid. Instrumen penelitian memiliki tingkat reliabilitas yang sangat tinggi. Populasi berdistribusi normal. Analisis data menggunakan uji pearson product moment dan uji t yang menunjukkan r hitung sebesar 0,588 lebih besar dari r table yaitu 0,361 dan t hitung sebesar 3,84 lebih besar dari t table 2,04 yang berarti signifikan. Dapat disimpulkan Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Bisa dilihat dari informasi diatas bahwa adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan komposisi bahan kosmetika (X) dengan perilaku keputusan membeli kosmetika (Y) mahasiswi Pendidikan Tata Rias.
