Abstract
The level of effectiveness of the contraflow system application in parsing traffic congestion on inner-city toll roads by relocating the starting point of the contraflow which was previously located at Km 1 + 700 Cawang will move to Km 0 + 200 Halim by prioritizing toll road users who originating from the Cikampek toll road. The method used in this research is that the author uses a quantitative descriptive method, which examines document data in the form of primary data and secondary data such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), data on traffic conditions, traffic volume and traffic speed in applying the contraflow relocation system on toll roads. in the city of Cawang - Semanggi. Based on the results of the analysis, the cause is that there are a lot of crossing vehicles forcing their way into the contraflow starting point at Km 1 + 700 Cawang. Especially traffic from the direction of the Jagorawi Toll Road, because the crossing triggers a conflict which results in traffic disruption and can endanger road users. Based on these results, it is necessary to relocate the starting point or entrance to the contraflow as an effort to minimize the level of density that occurs on inner city toll roads in order to create better comfort and transportation in realizing logistical prosperity.
