PERSEPSI ORANG TUA TENTANG MAINAN ANAK USIA 4-5 TAHUN BERDASARKAN GENDER

Abstract

This study aims to obtain empirical data on parents' perception of children's toys aged 4-5 years based on gender in Bogor Regency. The sample of this study is 112 parents who have children aged 4-5 years and send their children to kindergarten in Bogor Regency. Sampling was done using the cluster random sampling technique. The method used is quantitative research with a survey method. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire in the form of a google form. The results of this study showed that there was no difference in the perception of mothers and fathers about toys based on gender in the affective aspects (emotions and feelings) and the conative aspects (attitudes and actions), but there were significant differences in the cognitive aspects (knowledge and understanding). Based on the calculations that have been obtained, as many as 76 percent of 76 mother respondents have a moderate level of knowledge and understanding about gender-based toys, while as many as 82 percent of 36 father respondents show a good level of knowledge and understanding of gender-based toys.
