In the daily life of society we must recognize a device called KWH analog meter, which is a tool used by PT. PLN (Persero) to calculate the power consumption of consumers. But this time KWH existing analog meter does not notify large electric power and the cost we have to pay clearly. So we made "KWH Meter Monitoring System Based Analog SMS Gateway" which can send an SMS (Short Message Service) containing large power consumption as well as costs periodically to the users The working principle of this device using the workings of the current sensor ACS712 Smart DI-5A. First current sensor ACS712 5A DI-Smart will be calibrated first by Analog to Digital Converter (ADC), and then when there is current through KWH meters it will be read by the current sensor ACS712 5A DI-Smart this. Furthermore, the data generated by the current sensor ACS712 5A DI-Smart will be processed by microcontroller ATmega16 and will the output can be viewed on LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) simultaneously sent to the modem GSM (Global System for Mobile Communication) Shield ago will send space usage electricity and costs to be paid in the form of SMS.
Dalam kehidupan sehari-hari masyarakat pastilah kita mengenal sebuah alat yang disebut dengan KWH meter analog, yaitu suatu alat yang digunakan oleh PT. PLN (Persero) untuk menghitung besar pemakaian daya listrik konsumen. Namun selama ini KWH meter analog yang ada tidak memberitahukan besar daya listrik serta biaya yang harus kita bayar secara jelas. Sehingga dibuat ‘Sistem Monitoring KWH Meter Analog Berbasis SMS Gateway’ yang dapat mengirimkan SMS (Short Message Service) besar pemakaian listrik serta biaya secara berkala kepada pengguna KWH meter. Prinsip kerja Sistem Monitoring KWH Meter Berbasis SMS Gateway ini menggunakan cara kerja sensor arus DI-Smart ACS712 5A. Pertama sensor arus DI- Smart ACS712 5A akan dikalibrasi oleh Analog to Digital Converter (ADC), lalu saat arus melewati KWH meter maka akan dibaca sensor arus DI-Smart ACS712 5A. Lalu data yang dihasilkan sensor arus DI-Smart ACS712 5A akan diproses mikrokontroler ATMega16 dan menghasilkan keluaran di LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) sekaligus dikirimkan ke modem GSM (Global System for Mobile Communication) Shield yang lalu akan mengirimkan besar pemakaian listrik dan biaya yang harus dibayarkan dalam bentuk SMS.
