MANIFESTASI KONFLIK LOKAL: ANALISIS TAWURAN ANTAR KELOMPOK PEMUDA DI KELURAHAN MANGGARAI DALAM PERSPEKTIF KEKERASAN JOHAN GALTUNG

Abstract

Social conflict is an integral part of human social interaction, where differences in interests, status and values are often the source of conflict. Referring to Johan Galtung's theory of violence, conflict can arise in the form of direct, structural and cultural violence. This is the case in Manggarai Village, South Jakarta, where social conflict is often manifested in the form of brawls between youth groups that have been going on for years, often resulting in casualties and material damage. There are several factors underlying the conflict, such as the problem of dropping out of school, the lack of positive activities for youth and the culture of violence that is passed down from generation to generation. Addressing these issues requires creating educational and employment opportunities, as well as understanding the root causes of conflict to find effective and sustainable solutions.
