The practice of hegemonic masculinity allows the society to dominate the men who are considered ‘less ideal’, leading to a decline in gender equality by maintaining the hierarchal gender order. The portrayal of hegemonic masculinity in Sons of Anarchy has a strong connection with the portrayal of hegemonic masculinity that still exists in today’s modern society. This research aimed to describe how the framing analysis in the crime drama series of Sons of Anarchy and how Sons of Anarchy depicts hegemonic masculinity. The research used qualitative research methods. The analysis method used in the research is framing analysis using Robert Entman's framing analysis method. The research theory uses Raewyn Connell's theory of hegemonic masculinity. The results showed that Sons of Anarchy displayed hegemonic masculinity through the domination of characters who have authority over marginalized characters. The characters in Sons of Anarchy display characteristics of hegemonic masculinity and types of masculinity that belong to hegemonic masculinity.
