Abstract

This writing aims to explain distance learning using Microsoft Teams as
a medium that is useful in the learning process for students and the obstacles that
students experience in the distance learning process in order to improve learning
outcomes in subjects. history. The benefit of Microsoft Teams is that teachers can
quickly communicate with students, share files and websites, create OneNote Class
Notebooks, distribute and grade assignments and organize interactive lessons and
provide effective and timely feedback. In addition, students can also share teaching
materials using the Professional Learning Community. The obstacles faced by
students in the distance teaching and learning process are limited human resources,
limited infrastructure such as laptops or cellphones owned by parents of students,
difficulties in internet access, unstable electricity conditions, and limited internet
quota that can be provided by parents. This study uses a qualitative method using
a case study. The place of this research is SMA Negeri 2 Ambon. The subjects of
this study were all students studying history using Microsoft Teams media. The
results showed that students who studied history subjects using Microsoft Teams
media could improve their learning outcomes in history education.
