Abstract

This study explores strategies to enhance the quality of human resources (HR) in Jakarta, aligning them with global competitiveness standards to support its vision of becoming a global city. The research underscores the pivotal role of HR development in urban transformation, drawing from case studies of successful global cities like Singapore and Seoul. Through an in-depth analysis of Jakarta's current HR capacities and challenges, including gaps in education, training, and strategic alignment, the study proposes a framework integrating innovative Human Resource practices with urban governance and policy reforms. Key recommendations include fostering cross-sector collaboration, strengthening public-private partnerships, and emphasizing education and skill development. The findings contribute to theoretical and practical insights for sustainable urban planning and HR management, offering a replicable model for other aspiring global cities.
