Abstract

The Krueng Aceh River Basin with the main river being Krueng Aceh, has an area of ​​174,785 Ha, the upstream part of Krueng Aceh is in the Janthoe area. The central part of Krueng Aceh is in Kuta Cot Glie and the downstream area is in the Krueng Jreue Sub-watershed which empties into Banda Aceh City. This method has been implemented in the Upper Watershed by implementing an Agroforestry system without the NbS method. The aim of this research is to look at the condition of the Krueng Jreue Watershed, land cover and biophysical conditions of the Krueng Jreue Watershed. The results of the research are that the current land cover in the Krueng Jreue Sub-watershed in the upstream Indrapuri District is still 30% forest, with the 0-8% class having changed land cover. For Aceh Besar District, part of the area still has forest, around 15%, the rest has been turned into housing and urban areas. In Aceh Besar District, several sub-districts have entered the yellow zone of 25-40% and the red zone of >40%, areas of land cover change, or critical areas. Almost 60% of the Krueng Jreue sub-watershed area is currently dominated by Secondary Dry Land Forest areas, 30% housing and 10% protected forests, primary forests, wetland agriculture, dry land agriculture, savanna
