Implementation of circular economy in order to develop an sustainable crumb rubber industry

Abstract

Circular economy is one of economy model that utilize resource effectively and efficiently by eliminate waste generation and extend the resource application in a series of production process. Circular economy not only focus to design zero waste industrial model, but also emphasize on social, economy and environment that provide sustanaible resource or energy. This model is able to be implemented in several industrial types include for crumb rubber industry. This research has objective to define circular economy by focusing to crumb rubber industry activity by endorsing reduce, reuse, repair, recycle and recovery process. Dats research is analyzed by qualitative descriptive method with survey, observation, literature study and case study in crumb rubber industry. This result is expected become a model that able to be use as a reference for crumb rubber industry in order to create an efficient production process and circular economy implementation support sustainable development goals achievement , for SDGs 12, sustaninable consumption and production (SCP).
