Abstrak
Diantara siswa sekolah menengah terdapat kesenjangan gender untuk bidang matematika, sains, dan keterampilan dasar (Corbett, Hill, & Rose, 2008). Terdapat asumsi dan anggapan awam di masyarakat secara umum bahwa pelajaran fisika merupakan pelajaran yang memiliki karakteristik kelelakian sehingga kurang cocok dipelajari oleh kaum perempuan, Generate merupakan strategi dan metode pembelajaran yang dapat menghilangkan asumsi dan anggapan tersebut, dalam bentuk apersepsi pembelajaran melalui pemberian contohcontoh kaum perempuan yang sukses dalam bidang fisika, dan sesuai dengan karakteristik siswa perempuan agar dapat menumbuhkan minat dan motivasi siswa perempuan terhadap fisika. Melalui apersepsi Generate diharapkan terjadi peningkatan pemahaman konsep fisika pada siswa perempuan secara khusus dan seluruh siswa secara umum.

Abstract
Between students of high school are gender gap in mathematics, science, and basic skills (Corbett, Hill, & Rose, 2008). There is any lay in the general public assumption and presumption that physics is a subject that has characteristics making it less suitable maleness studied by women. “Generate†a strategy and learning methods that can eliminate assumptions, in the form of apperception learning by providing examples of the successful women in the fields of physics, and in accordance with the characteristics of female students in order to improve of interest and motivation of them to physics. Through Generate apersepsi expected to increase the understanding of physics concepts in particular women and in general students.
