PERAN KELUARGA DALAM MENCEGAH KECANDUAN GAME ONLINE PADA REMAJA

Game online merupakan game yang sangat digemari oleh berbagai kalangan usia, salah satunya yang paling menonjol adalah pada kalangan remaja. Permainan yang dimainkan melalui internet memang dianggap lebih seru dan lebih menantang, namun tak sedikit juga para pemain game online yang terjerumus menjadi kecanduan akan game online. Seseorang yang dianggap kecanduan dalam game online adalah ketika waktu yang dihabiskan untuk bermain sudah melebihi batas waktu, sudah mengganggu produktivitas kesehariannya, serta keinginan untuk terus-menerus memainkan game-nya. Terdapat beberapa kasus di Indonesia terkait seorang remaja yang kecanduan akan game online yang berdampak pada kematian. Banyak faktor yang dapat membuat seseorang menjadi kecanduan akan game online, salah satunya adalah faktor eksternal yang bersumber dari keluarga. Beberapa penelitian menunjukkan jika seseorang memiliki hubungan yang kurang baik dalam keluarga dapat membuat seseorang memiliki perilaku yang negatif seperti kecanduan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif, yaitu studi literatur dengan mengumpulkan dan mengelaborasikan informasi dari berbagai penelitian sebelumnya secara sistematis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan informasi bagaimana peran orang tua dalam mencegah anaknya terhadap kecanduan game online. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa banyaknya permasalahan yang ditimbulkan pada anak yang mengalami kecanduan game online, maka pentingnya peran dari pihak keluarga dalam mengawasi dan membimbing anaknya untuk dapat mengontrol dirinya agar tidak mengalami kecanduan akan game online.
Abstract
Online games are games that are very popular with various age groups, one of which is most prominent is among teenagers. Games played over the internet are indeed considered more exciting and more challenging, but not a few online game players who fall into addiction to online games. Someone who is considered addicted to online games is when the time spent playing has exceeded the time limit, has interfered with their daily productivity, and the desire to continue playing the game. There are several cases in Indonesia of teenagers addicted to online games that resulted in death. Many factors can make a person become addicted to online games, one of which is external factors that come from the family. Some studies show that if someone has a bad relationship in the family, it can make someone have negative behavior such as addiction. This research uses a qualitative method, which is a literature study by systematically collecting and elaborating information from various previous studies. The purpose of this study is to provide information on how the role of parents in preventing their children from online game addiction. The results of this study indicate that there are many problems caused to children who experience online game addiction, so the importance of the role of the family in taking care of their children.
