PERILAKU OVER PROTEKTIF ORANG TUA: PENGALAMAN ANAK DAN DAMPAK YANG DITIMBULKAN

Abstrak
Tujuan penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui lebih dalam pengalaman anak mengenai overprotective dan menggali permasalahan anak ketika mendapat aturan yang berlebihan dari orang tua. Metode penelitian yang di gunakan yaitu kualitatif fenomenalogi dengan melakukan wawancara. Teknik sampling dalam penelitian ini menggunakan purposive sampling dikarenakan peneliti sudah memiliki karakteristik untuk partisipan sehingga peneliti mencari partisipan yang sesuai dengan karakteristik tersebut. Karakteristik yang dipilih adalah anak yang berusia antara 11-25 tahun, yang masih memiliki keluarga lengkap, memiliki aturan ketat dalam keluarga, dan tinggal dengan keluarga inti (tidak tinggal dengan kakek, nenek, saudara dll. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan empat tema mengenai pengalaman overprotective yang dilakukan orang tua dalam perspektif anak, tema tersebut ialah pandangan anak mengenai overprotective, keinginan orang tua terhadap anak, bentuk perilaku overprotective orang tua, dan dampak overprotective pada anak. Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pandangan anak terhadap overprotective berlebihan yang dilakukan oleh orang tua membawa pengaruh perilaku positif dan negatif, tetapi lebih dominan memberikan efek negatif bagi kehidupan anak. Penelitian Ini memberikan Informasi kepada masyarakat khususnya kepada orang tua bahwa perilaku overprotective bisa memberikan dampak buruk bagi anak. Hal Ini bisa menjadi pertimbangan bagaimana peran keluarga khususnya orang tua dalam bersikap ketika berhadapan dengan anak.
Abstract
The purpose of this research was conducted to find out more about children's experiences regarding over-protectiveness and explore children's problems when they get excessive rules from their parents. The research method used is qualitative phenomenalogy by conducting interviews. The sampling technique in this study used purposive sampling because researchers already had characteristics for participants, so researchers looked for participants who matched these characteristics. The characteristics selected are children aged between 11-25 years, who still have a complete family, have strict family rules, and live with a nuclear family (don't live with grandparents, siblings etc. The results of this study provide four themes regarding over-the-counter experiences). protective behavior carried out by parents from the child's perspective, the theme is the child's view of overprotectiveness, the desire of parents for children, forms of parental overprotective behavior, and the impact of overprotectiveness on children from this study it can be concluded that children's views on overprotectiveness carried out by parents brings positive and negative behavioral influences, but more dominantly has a negative effect on children's lives. This research provides information to the public, especially to parents, that overprotective behavior can have a bad impact on children. This can be a consideration of how the role family, especially parents, in their behavior when dealing with children.
