"Media dioramas are media that describe an event whether it has historical value or not that is presented in a mini or small form" (Kustandi and Sutjipto, 2011, p.58). This diorama media can be used as learning media on the themes of objects around us, the subject matter of natural appearance. In this research, the theme of the objects around us is the subject matter of natural appearance which contains various kinds of knowledge about the appearance of nature.
The purpose of writing this thesis is (1.) To describe the procedure of developing diorama learning media on the subject matter of natural appearance on the Themes of objects around us for Class V in SDN 1 Tamban. (2.) To describe the level of validity of the learning media dioramas of the subject matter of natural appearance on the Theme of objects around us for Class V in Tamban Elementary School 1 which was developed. (3.) To describe the effectiveness of the use of learning media dioramas of the subject matter of natural appearance on the Themes of objects around us for Class V in SDN 1 Tamban that were developed. in this research development, researchers refer to the procedural model is a descriptive model, which outlines the steps that must be followed to produce a product.
The results of this development research show that: (1) Media that has been completed is then validated by media expert lecturers, material expert lecturers and RPP expert lecturers. The quality of the media that has been developed is good with a validity level of 75-100%. (2) The attractiveness of this learning media is seen from the results of the implementation of the media seen from the results of the assessment of student questionnaires with the acquisition of a percentage of 99%. (3) The effectiveness of student learning outcomes in the pre-test completed 6 students and the number of students who completed the post-test is 14 students. This shows that the posttest value is better than the pretest value. So there are significant differences in the use of diorama media that have been developed.
