Peningkatan Pemahaman Efek Rumah Kaca melalui Pembelajaran Penggunaan Alat Peraga Sensor Suhu di SDN Langkob Cikundul

Global warming is an increasingly urgent environmental issue, primarily driven by the greenhouse effect resulting from rising concentrations of greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide. Early environmental education is essential to enhance students' understanding of the impacts of global warming and the importance of maintaining environmental balance. This community service program was conducted at SDN Langkob Cikundul, aiming to provide fifth- and sixth-grade students with a comprehensive understanding of global warming concepts and the greenhouse effect. The approach used in this activity was interactive, experiment-based learning, employing specially developed demonstration tools to simulate CO₂ increase and temperature rise in a closed environment. Pre- and post-test results indicated a significant improvement in students' understanding after participating in this program. Through this initiative, students not only grasp the scientific concept of global warming but are also expected to increase their environmental awareness. This program demonstrates that a practical and contextual learning approach is effective in enhancing students' understanding of environmental issues and could serve as a model for primary education at other schools.
