Music in the kejei dance has its own function. This study provides a new knowledge about the function of music in the kejei dance in Rejang Lebong Regency, Bengkulu.The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative method. Data was collected by means of (1) offline observation, (2) interviews, (3) documentation. While the data analysis technique is done by data reduction, data display, conclusion drawing/drawing conclusions.The results obtained: The function of music in the Kejei dance is 1) the function of music as an accompaniment to the opening motion or prayer movement, 2) the content movement or the eye movement of the oars, and 3) the closing motion with three different patterns, namely (a) the pattern of sea waves, (b) ) lanting bird pattern, (c) gibbon pattern behind the hill), 4) music as a dance atmosphere, 5) music as an illustration.</em></p> nurzena aprilia zainal Didin Supriadi Saryanto S Copyright (c) 2022-08-25 2022-08-25 3 2 129 142 ANALYSIS OF ELLA FITZGERALD’S SCAT SINGING TECHNIQUE IN ALL OF ME https://journal.unj.ac.id/unj/index.php/pm/article/view/19263 <p><em>The term “jazz” has a variety of meanings because it has been used to describe various styles of music. But, there are two aspects that almost all jazz styles have in common—swing feeling and improvisation. In jazz music, vocal improvisation has the same definition as an instrument improvisation, where the musician or vocalist creating melodies based on pre-exisiting chord progressions. Based</em><em> on the </em><em>writer</em><em>'s personal experience</em><em> in a jazz community in Indonesia</em><em>, singers have difficulty getting information to learn</em><em> vocal improvisation or</em> <em>scat singing. This research was started on October 2020 and the writer used a qualitative approach to investigate Ella Fitzgerald’s scat singing technique. Fitzgerald’s scat singing skills consists of several interesting musical elements to learn such as motives and motivic development, chordal approach, and chromatic approach. Jakarta: Music Education Study Program, Faculty of Languages ​​and Arts, Jakarta State University 2021.</em></p> <p><em>The purpose of this study was to analyze and describe the electric slap bass technique used in the instrumental D-code work. This research method uses qualitative methods with a descriptive approach. The research was conducted in September 2020 - January 2021, at Taman Harapan RT 014 RW 003 Cawang, East Jakarta. Data collection was carried out by means of observation, literature study, interviews and documentation. For data analysis using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion (verification). The data validity technique used triangulation.</em></p> <p><em>The result of this research, this instrumental D-code work has the form A-B-A-C-A-D-C'-D'-C'- A. Time signature 4/4, approximate tempo: 115, with a D minor scale. The total number of bars in this work is 106 bars. In general, the techniques found in D-code instrumental work are innovative slap techniques. This study divides these techniques into right hand and left hand techniques. Included in the right hand technique are the double thumb technique and the double pluck technique (pluck 1, pluck 2). Affective aspect revision becomes; recertion, gving response, giving value, organizing, and characterization, while the revision on the pyshomotor aspect become; imitating, applying, stabizing, constructing, and naturalizing. In this regard, the researching intends to further analyze its implementation, especially in the affective aspect of learning the art of music, especially the song “Indonesia Raya” at SMP N 2 Bulakamba. The research model used in this reseach is descriptive qualitative with a case approach. The basic approach is carried out in a multidisciplinary manner, namely using learning and learning theory that speciafically axamines the assessment of learning outcomes (New Taxonomy Bloom), as well as music theory. Data collection techniques in research use: observation, interviews, document study, and literature study. As for testing the validity of the data using source triangulation, including: (reduced), analyze, verity, and the presentation stage. The results of the study show that the assessment of affective aspect has imlications for the value of student character education such as love for the motherland, national spirit, and patriotsm. This music is the traditional music of Bengkulu. This music has its own role and function in accompanying the Tabot Ceremony in Bengkulu. The purpose of this research is to describe the role and function of Dol music in the Tabot ceremony in the city of Bengkulu.This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis was carried out with the stages of data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study showed that Dol's music played the role of accompaniment to the Tabot ceremony series from the opening to the closing series. In carrying out this role, Dol's music functions as a validator for social institutions and as a form of symbol. Essay. Jakarta: Music Education Study Program, Faculty of Languages and Arts, Jakarta State University. </em><em>The purpose of this research is to find out how the training strategy is staging the Virtual Choir. The training strategy is the success of an organization with systematic and organized procedures in carrying out activities in virtual choral performances. The method used in this research is literature review with a systematic analysis technique of narrative. Data comes from existing research results through Google searches, E-books, Acasemia edu, Semantic Scholar, Oxford Journal, E-JournalUPI, and Youtube sources. The research was conducted in North Bekasi, from September 2021 to December 2022. Total 15 articles were analyzed by making notes in the margins and categorizing tables and summarizing the results of existing research to be combined and then presented with comprehensive facts so that conclusions could be drawn. (Miles and Huberman Prof. Dr. Sugiyono, 2017). This research method uses research and development methods (Research and Development) with the ADDIE approach model through 5 stages Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research is conducted at Jakarta State University with research subjects namely students in the Solfegio course. Data collecting procedure is made using interview, questionnaires and literature review. The data analysis technique was carried out by distributing questionnaires and then the results obtained were processed and analyzed qualitatively. Checking the validity of the data is done by means of source triangulation in the form of interviews with experts. The results of this study indicate that the development of Smart Apps Creator-based learning media in the Solfegio course at Jakarta State University is in accordance with the steps that are applied. The Smart Apps Creator-based learning media product for the Solfegio course at Jakarta State University is named SOLFUN, Learning Solfegio Is Fun.
