Abstract
In this rapidly growing digitalization era, it can be utilized in the learning process by using audio-visual-based digital learning media. Based on the analysis of the needs of class X students, it was found that 83.5% of students liked the type of audio-visual-based learning media, one of which was animated video, and 54% of students found it challenging to use Parabolic Motion material. This research is focused on developing an Animation Video for Parabolic Motion based on Problem-Based Learning and equipped with PhET Simulation. This study aims to produce learning media in the form of animated videos that are suitable for use in supporting the physics learning process. The research method used is a research and development (R&D) method. The research model used is a 4D model consisting of four stages: define, design, development, and disseminate. The research instrument is a Likert scale questionnaire with media expert respondents, material experts, and learning experts, and it will be tested on teachers and students. The animated video is divided into three parts using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) learning model. Part 1 contains an explanation and application of the material in everyday life. Part 2 contains a virtual experiment using PhET Simulation. Section 3 discusses the results of virtual experiments that students have carried out. This animated video that has been developed can be implemented in physics learning activities as a companion media that can help students understand the material and increase students' motivation and attractiveness to the parabolic motion material.
