Abstract

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of students' critical thinking skills through flipbook-based physics comics. This type of research is a quantitative research using a one-group pretest-posttest design with a pre-experimental approach. The research sample was determined by random sampling as many as 68 students. This research was conducted in one experimental class and one control class. The media used is a flipbook-based comic about business and energy. Students' critical thinking skills were analyzed based on the results of the pretest and posttest. The results of the two classes tested showed the influence of flipbook comic media on students' critical thinking skills. The hypotesis result for the experimental class and control class showed an influence on the pretest and posttest scores in the low category. Thus, it can be concluded that the flipbook-based physics comic that was developed has a smal influence on students' critical thinking skills.

Keywords: Flipbook-based comic, Critical Thinking Skills
