Seiring dengan berkembangnya zaman dan teknologi yang maju dibutuhkan sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas, memiliki kemampuan serta kompetensi. Dalam menempuh pendidikan, seseorang akan mendapatkan ilmu pengetahuan yang menunjang agar hal-hal tersebut dapat terwujud. Pembelajaran fisika peserta didik diharapkan tidak hanya mengetahui teori, konsep, dan latihan soal saja. Peserta didik juga diharapkan mampu menerapkan pembelajaran fisika ke dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kolaboratif berbasis Science, Technology, Engineering, and MathematicsSTEM) terhadap hasil belajar kognitif fisika peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif komparatif dengan metode eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Nonrandomized Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design pada kedua kelas penelitian. Proses pada pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model kolaboratif menekankan pada proses pembelajaran secara berkelompok antar peserta didik. STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) merupakan pendekatan yang menerapkan prinsip sains, teknologi, rekayasa dan matematika. Pembelajaran pada kelas eksperimen akan diterapkan model pembelajaran kolaborasi berbasis STEM. Hasil yang diharapkan dari penelitian ini adalah peserta didik mampu mengetahui, memahami, menghitung serta mengaplikasikan dengan membuat projek sederhana menggunakan prinsip-prinsip teori dalam fisika. Peserta didik diharapakan aktif dalam pembelajaran, seperti mampu berkolaborasi dengan membangun kerjasama antar kelompok teman dan melatih kemampuan peserta didik dalam bidang sains, teknologi, teknik dan matematika.

Abstract

Along with the development of the times and the advanced technology required, quality human resources have the ability and competence. In education, a person will get the knowledge that supports them so that these things can be realized. In physics learning, students are expected not only to know theories, concepts, and practice questions. Students are also expected to be able to apply physics learning in everyday life. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of the STEM-based collaborative learning model (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) on student cognitive physics learning outcomes. This study uses a comparative quantitative approach with experimental methods. The research design used was a Nonrandomized Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design in both research classes. Learning using a collaborative model emphasizes the learning process in groups between students. STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) is an approach that applies the principles of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Learning in the experimental class will apply a STEM-based collaborative learning model. The expected result of this research is that students will be able to know, understand, calculate and apply by making simple projects using theoretical principles in physics. Students are expected to be active in learning, such as being able to collaborate by building collaboration between groups of friends and training students' abilities in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
