The surge of digital intellectual property (IP) violations in Indonesia via e-commerce marketplaces and social media platforms poses a significant law enforcement challenge. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of law enforcement against digital IP violations, focusing on piracy and illegal sales on platforms such as Tokopedia, Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop. Using a qualitative case study approach, secondary data from the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DJKI), Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (Kominfo), and the Cyber Crime Directorate of the Indonesian Police were examined. The analysis covers the effectiveness of Law Number 28 of 2014 concerning Copyright and Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE), alongside inter-agency cooperation efforts to remove pirated content. Findings reveal main challenges including cross-border jurisdiction and digital evidence issues reducing enforcement effectiveness, although inter-agency collaboration has improved. These violations impact creative industries, consumers, and state tax revenue negatively
