This study aims to analyze the implementation of Community Based Tourism (CBT) in the development of Curug Jami Tourism Object in Ciamis Regency, West Java. Curug Jami is a community-initiated natural tourism area established through collaboration between the local Karang Taruna youth organization and the farmers’ group that initially managed honey bee cultivation around the waterfall. The CBT approach was adopted as it emphasizes the role of local communities as primary actors in planning, managing, and benefiting from tourism activities in a sustainable manner. This research employed a qualitative descriptive method, with data collected through field observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The key informants consisted of the Head of the Tourism Management Group, the Head of Karang Taruna of Sukamaju Village, and the Head of the Farmers’ Group involved in managing the site. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña (2014), which includes data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that CBT implementation at Curug Jami has been effectively realized through four main dimensions: participatory, economic, socio-ecological, and institutional. Community participation is reflected in collective management and decision-making, while the economic dimension ensures equitable distribution of benefits. The integration of environmental awareness and local solidarity strengthens tourism sustainability, although challenges remain in institutional legality and human resource capacity. Strengthening community institutions and digital innovation is essential to enhance the sustainability and competitiveness of community-based tourism at the local level.
