Analisis Perubahan Kepadatan Penduduk di Kecamatan Penjaringan, Jakarta Utara Periode Tahun 2010, 2015 dan 2020

Abstract

Penjaringan Subdistrict is an area with rapid population growth in line with the dynamics of urban development in North Jakarta. This study aims to analyze changes in population density in Penjaringan Subdistrict in the periods of 2010, 2015, and 2020. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. The data used are secondary data obtained from the North Jakarta City Administration Statistics Agency, previous research results, and relevant journal literature. The analysis method applied is time series analysis, which aims to determine the dynamics of population density during the three periods in a five-year span. The output generated from this analysis is a time series map of population density that can illustrate spatial and temporal patterns of change in each urban village. The results of the study show that all urban villages in Penjaringan Subdistrict experienced a gradual increase in population density during each observation period. Kamal Muara Urban Village consistently had the lowest population density, while Penjaringan and Pejagalan Urban Villages had the highest population density. These changes in population density are influenced by several key factors, including the dynamics of urbanization, population migration, and the development of the industrial sector and economic activities in the coastal area of North Jakarta. The increase in population density in Penjaringan Subdistrict has had various impacts, such as a decline in the quality of life of the community, limited access to basic needs, and increased pressure on the urban environment. Therefore, integrated population control and planning efforts are needed to maintain a balance between population size, resource availability, and the provision of sustainable urban facilities and infrastructure.
