Abstract

This research aims to identify the obstacles faced by Geography teachers in implementing the Independent Curriculum at SMA Negeri 1 Teluk Mengkudu and analyze the efforts that can be made to overcome these obstacles. The research was carried out using a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews and direct observation of one Geography teacher who taught in class To overcome these obstacles, several efforts that can be made include: holding teacher professional training and development, developing learning materials, providing adequate technology and resources, and increasing school management support. This research concludes that the successful implementation of the Independent Curriculum requires comprehensive support from various parties, especially in terms of increasing teacher competency and providing learning infrastructure.
