Abstract

Spatial Mapping plays a role in planning development and resource management, particularly at the village level. This research was conducted in Sungai Durian Village, Patamuan District, Padang Pariaman Regency, West Sumatra, which is administratively divided into four villages: Sijangek Village, Sungai Durian Village, Tungka Village, and Lapau Jambu Village. This area does not yet have a digital map with clear administrative boundaries, so that many people do not understand the boundaries of the village and village areas clearly. This mapping activity was carried out with the aim of compiling a 2-dimensional (2D) map based on Google Earth satellite imagery, Landsat 8 data, and high-resolution imagery at a scale of 1:25,000, which will serve as the basis for making spatial data-based development decisions. This mapping also serves as an educational resource in improving community geospatial literacy and supporting KKN students in compiling regional development recommendations. The final results are expected to strengthen regional governance and clearer development planning.
