Focus and Scope

SPATIAL: Wahana Komunikasi dan Informasi Geografi invites the submission of high-quality, original research articles, review articles, and theoretical papers that have not been previously published. The journal's scope covers all aspects of geographical studies, encompassing both theoretical and applied research. We welcome contributions that advance the understanding of spatial phenomena and the relationship between humans and their environment.

The primary areas of focus include, but are not limited to:

1. Physical Geography This field includes the study of the Earth's natural processes and patterns. We welcome manuscripts on topics such as:

  • Geomorphology and landform analysis

  • Climatology and climate change impacts

  • Hydrology, water resources management, and watershed analysis

  • Biogeography and ecosystem dynamics

  • Oceanography and coastal studies

  • Soil science and land degradation

  • Natural hazards, risk assessment, and disaster management

2. Human Geography This field focuses on the spatial organization of human activities and their interaction with the environment. Submissions are encouraged in areas such as:

4. Geography Education This field is dedicated to the theory and practice of teaching and learning geography. Topics of interest include:

  • Environmental education and education for sustainable development
