Journal History

Indonesian Journal of Applied Linguistics Review (IJALR) is published in Indonesian or English by Master Degree of Applied Linguistics Study Program, Postgraduate of Universitas Negeri Jakarta, Indonesia. IJALR is published twice a year, in June and December. It went online by Open Journal System (OJS) Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) in 2016, is peer-reviewed, and specializes in Applied Linguistics. In 2017, IJALR only published one issue (Vol 2, No 1). In 2018–2021, IJALR was no longer published due to changes in the editorial team, which resulted in the journal not being managed properly. In 2022, IJALR is re-publishing volume 3 with two numbers (issues).

The aim is to provide the readers with a better understanding of Applied Linguistics Studies and present developments through articles and research reports. The journal invites scholars and experts working in all disciplines in Applied Linguistics. Articles should be original, research-based, unpublished, and not for possible publication in another journal. All submitted papers are subject to review by the editors, editorial board, and blind reviewers. Submissions that violate our guidelines on formatting or length will be rejected without review.
