Hubungan Antara Perasaan Takut Tertinggal (FoMO) dengan Adiksi Media Sosial pada Mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Negeri Jakarta

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara perasaan takut tertinggal (FoMO) dengan adiksi media sosial pada mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode korelasi dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 290 mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Negeri Jakarta angkatan 2020 – 2021. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan adalah instrumen fear of missing out (FoMO) dan instrumen social media addiction yang diadopsi dari peneliti lain. Hasil uji validitas menunjukkan semua butir valid kecuali social media addiction item 11 tidak valid sehingga tidak diikutsertakan saat pengambilan data. Uji reliabilitas pada perasaan takut tertinggal (FoMO) sebesar 0.869 dan pada adiksi media sosial sebesar 0.870. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif antara perasaan takut tertinggal (FoMO) dengan adiksi media sosial pada mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Negeri Jakarta dengan koefisisen korelasi 0,521 dan nilai sig.(2-tailed) 0,000 (p<0.05).
