Abstract

This study aims to develop Kahoot as a learning media to increase learning motivation in istima course in students the Arabic Language Department, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Knowing the feasibility of Kahoot learning media based on research from material experts and media experts; and find out the assessment of students the Arabic Language Department, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, on the Kahoot learning media. The results of the study were through five stages in making Kahoot learning media: 1) Analysis, Analysis of the student's needs in learning. This is very important for the product that wants to be developed, 2) Design, making the design of the product. Design in the making of questions and audio, 3) Development, the process of evaluating product design is done throughout an assessment. The assessment was carried out by the material experts and the media experts, 4) Implementation, feasibility testing of Kahoot learning media is done with 16 field trial students. The trial was conducted to determine the effectiveness of the product, 5) Evaluation, evaluate the product based on the results of the questionnaire given to material experts, media experts, and students of the Arabic Language Department, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. The response of the material expert to the Kahoot learning media obtained an average percentage score of 84.11% which is included in the category Very Decent, 2) Media Experts obtained an average percentage score of 85% which is included in the Very Decent category. 3) The assessment of the feasibility of the media by field trial students obtained an average percentage score of 79% which was included in the Very Decent category. Thus, the Kahoot media is suitable to be used as a learning media.
