Abstract

The patriarchy system is depicted as men holds the main control, whilst women
possess less influence within the society. In indonesia, numeous feminism
campaigns regarding gender equality between men and womens rights has
been held. In the drama series. The patriarchal system in the Japanese society is
reflected in the 2016 drama series, Fukuyadou Honpo ~Kyoto Love Story~. This
research aim is to elaborate the men's role inside the Japanese Family. this
research will analyzed the men's role inside the Japanese family. this research will use the 2016 Fukuyadou Honpo ~Kyoto Love Story~ as the research
object. the
theories of Japanese family and patriarchy system will be use to analyzedthe
data.
Based on the theories above, according to the ie system, 5 data regarding men's
roles in the Japanese family have been obtained during the research: as heir of
the family (3); referring the child as the heir of the family (1); to support the
impoverished ie member's living expenses (1).
In conclusion, the men's roles in the Japanese family are highly influence by the patriarchal values that have existed in Japanese society based on the
ie system. the men's roles in the drama "Fukuyadou Honpo ~Kyoto Love Story~" are
predominantly the role as the heir of the
family.
