Abstract

This study aims to develop teaching materials for writing advertising text based on the Explain Everything media. The research compiled is a type of research with the Research and Development development method with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) by adapting three stages namely Analysis, Design, and Development. Data were obtained through needs analysis through observation, interviews with teachers, questionnaires analyzing the needs of teachers and students, curriculum analysis, teaching material analysis, teaching material design, development and preparation of teaching materials and validation of teaching materials by material experts. Data analysis was carried out with a qualitative description. The results obtained from the development of Explain Everything media-based advertising text teaching materials have results in the appropriate category to use with the acquisition of a value from the validation of material experts by 80% in the good category, media experts 80% in the rising category, and the assessment of the Indonesian language teacher by 82 .3% in the good category. The development of teaching materials for writing advertising text based on the Explain Everything media is feasible to use and has a good impact on the learning process of students in the classroom.
