Arabic Language Learning Based on Dragon Snake Traditional Games

Abstract

The emergence of online-based games in this digital era such as League Legend, PUBG, Modern Combat has made the traditional games that we have become rare and even unrecognizable. This makes the teacher must be able to develop existing traditional games. One of them is applying traditional games in the learning process. Dragon snake game is one of the traditional games that can be a media for forming the nation'2 character which contains the values ​​of high tolerance, cooperation, leadership, and strong fraternity. The purposes of this article are: (1) to analyze and describe the Arabic language learning model based on the traditional game of dragon snake at the Integrated Islamic Elementary School (SDIT) level (2) to explain the benefits of applying the Arabic language learning model based on the traditional game of dragon snake to the formation of national character ( 3) to give Arabic language learning innovations at the Integrated Islamic Elementary School (SDIT) level. The method used in writing this article was descriptive qualitative, it means by describing the idea of ​​innovation in Arabic learning. As for the innovations that we provide, namely regarding the learning process based on the Dragon Snake game in Arabic subjects, especially at the Integrated Islamic Elementary School (SDIT) level because this game is not only for entertainment but it also could increase the students' learning motivation in the Arabic learning process. Learning Arabic based on the traditional game of Snake Dragon could also preserve local culture and wisdom in Indonesia. It is hoped that the teacher could apply this traditional game-based learning method of Snakes and Dragons in the Arabic language learning process.
