Author Guidelines
The Journal of Electrical Vocational Education and Technology (JEVET) is a scientific journal that is continuously published twice a year (in June & December) and employs a blind review system. JEVET accepts original articles dedicated to all electrical researchers, practitioners, educators, and students. The journal focuses on publishing high-quality research in specific areas of Electrical Engineering Vocational Education. The journal covers Learning of Electrical Engineering Vocational Education (Media, Method, Evaluation, Curriculum, etc), Power System, Renewable Energy, Automation, Energy & Electrical Audit, Industry Management, and other related fields in Electrical Engineering Vocational Education. The journal's article consists of:
- Title is specific, effective, and not more than 30 words.
- Author’s identity: Author’s full names (without degree), institutional address (including name of institution, address, postal code, city, and country), and author’s email must be written fully and clearly.
- Abstract: Abstract is written both in English and Bahasa. It is written in a paragraph which consists of 250 words maximum. Abstract is written sequentially from background of the study, objective of the study, methods, results, and conclusion.
- Keyword: The keyword consists of 3-5 words which are chosen genuinely so that they reflect the concept of the article.
- Introduction: The introduction guides readers from a broad topic to the specific focus of the research in electrical engineering and vocational education. It provides background information and summarizes the current state of knowledge, helping to establish the context of the study. The research aim—whether a hypothesis, question, or problem—is clearly stated, along with a brief explanation of the rationale and chosen methods. The introduction also outlines the potential contributions of the study, such as improvements in practical training, teaching methods, or curriculum design. Finally, it reviews key previous studies to highlight gaps or limitations in existing research that the current work seeks to address.
- Figure Caption. Example writing “Gambar 1,” which is the label must be written in capital letters at the beginning of the word, and bold Times New Roman size 10. If the image has a lot of parts, you can use the label (a), (b), and so on.
- Table Caption. Example writing “Tabel 1,” which is the label must be written in capital letters at the beginning of the word, and bold Times New Roman size 10. Description flat table placed above the middle of the table.
- Equations should be placed in the middle with the right equation number (flush right).
- Methods: it discusses the research design, data collection, data sources such as the population and sample, and data analysis. It is written with sentences in paragraphs, not in sequences using points.
- Results: it contains the data and information that has been collected. The finding systematically must be supported by charts, tables, figures or informative illustrations.
- Discussion: it shows a further explanation about the finding. Compare the finding with another research’s finding and do not repeat what has been written in finding.
- Conclusion: it should clearly state the result of correlated objective (and may also possible with future direction).

References cited using APA Style (7th edition) must follow the author–date citation system. Sources are cited within the text by including the author's last name and the year of publication, and these citations correspond to full reference entries listed in alphabetical order in the References section at the end of the manuscript. In-text citations include the author's last name and the year of publication (e.g., Smith, 2021), or (Smith, 2021) if not used in a narrative. Direct quotes should also include a page number (e.g., Smith, 2021, p. 45). Authors are recommended to use reference management software, such as Mendeley or Zotero. The reference must include 80 % primary sources in the past 10 years for books and the past 5 years for articles, journals, and proceedings.
- References: it must be written according to APA Style in accordance with the A-Z order references in the bibliography.
This is an example to write the reference:
Author, A. A. (Year). Title of the book: Subtitle if any. Publisher.
Author, A. A., & Author, B. B. (Year). Title of the book. Publisher.
Author, A. A., & Author, B. B. (Year). Title of the article. Title of the Journal, Volume number(Issue number), page range. https://doi.org/xxxx
Author, A. A. (Year). Title of paper. In B. B. Editor (Ed.), Title of proceedings (pp. xx–xx). Publisher. https://doi.org/xxxx
