Abstract

This study aims to determine the cause of the selection of Child Free decisions that occurred in the people of Pancoran Mas District, Depok, West Java. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method. Researchers conducted interviews with the perpetrators of Child Free totaling 4 couples as well as parents and relatives of the perpetrators. The results of this study indicate that the factors that cause the selection of Child Free decisions among post-married millennial couples consist of internal factors and external factors. Internal factors, such as factors of unpreparedness to have children, health factors, personal factors. While external factors are economic factors and parental factors. To maintain Child Free commitment, couples often do Quality Time, good communication and planning for the future so that life is more focused.



Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penyebab pemilihan keputusan Child Free yang terjadi pada masyarakat Kecamatan Pancoran Mas Depok Jawa Barat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode kualitatif. Peneliti melakukan wawancara dengan para pelaku Child Free berjumlah 4 pasangan serta orang tua dan kerabat pelaku. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa faktor faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya pemilihan keputusan Child Free dikalangan pasangan milenial pasca menikah terdiri atas faktor internal dan faktor eksternal. Faktor internal yaitu seperti, faktor ketidaksiapan untuk memiliki anak, Faktor kesehatan, Faktor Pribadi. Sedangkan faktor eksternal yaitu Faktor ekonomi dan faktor orang tua. Untuk tetap menjaga komitmen Child Free para pasangan sering melalukan Qiality Time, komunikasi yang baik hingga merencanakan masa depan agar kehidupan lebih terarah.
