Here is the peer-review process for the journal Franconesia, adapted to a Single-Blind Review model:
The researcher(s) write a paper and submit it to Franconesia.
The editorial board checks the manuscript regarding its focus and scope, adherence to the article template, and the research's novelty. The editor will either reject or accept it. If accepted, the article is forwarded to reviewers.
The paper will be reviewed by at least two experts as suggested by the editorial board.
The author's identifying information (such as name and affiliation) is included in the manuscript sent to the reviewers. However, the reviewers' identities will remain confidential and are not disclosed to the author during this process.
Reviewers follow an evaluation framework and recommendation guidelines to ensure objectivity and fairness. The reviewing process is conducted for a minimum of four to eight weeks.
The article is returned to the editor along with a recommendation to either reject the article, revise and resubmit it, or accept it.
The associate editor evaluates the reviewers' feedback. Editors will have the option of seeking additional reviews when needed. Authors will be informed when Editors decide further review is required.
All publication decisions are made by the journal's Editors-in-Chief on the basis of the referees' reports. Authors of papers that are not accepted are notified promptly.
The editor sends the reviewers' feedback (without disclosing the reviewers' identities) to the corresponding author, who may then revise and resubmit the article for further review.
The author resubmits the revised article.
The editor receives the revised article and makes the final decision to publish it or not, taking into consideration the reviewers' feedback. If an article finally meets the editorial and peer-review standards, it will be sent to production.
The paper will be published in the current issue.
