Improvement: Jurnal Ilmiah Untuk Peningkatan Mutu Manajemen Pendidikan expects authorship to reflect real intellectual contribution and accountability. Authorship brings credit, and it also brings responsibility for the published work. This policy:
It follows the ICMJE authorship criteria, the CRediT taxonomy, and COPE guidance.
An author is a person who meets all four of the following criteria:
Each author should be able to identify which co-authors are responsible for which parts of the work, and should have confidence in the integrity of their co-authors’ contributions.
These contributors should be named in the Acknowledgements, with their permission.
These practices are treated as misconduct under the journal’s Research Misconduct policy.
All manuscripts with more than one author must include an Author Contributions statement on the title page, using the CRediT (Contributor Roles Taxonomy) roles:
| Role | Description |
|---|---|
| Conceptualization | Ideas; formulation of the research goals and aims |
| Methodology | Development or design of the methodology; creation of models or instruments |
| Software | Programming and software development; implementation of code |
| Validation | Verification of the reproducibility of results or experiments |
| Formal analysis | Statistical, thematic, or other formal analysis of data |
| Investigation | Conducting the research, including fieldwork, interviews, and data collection |
| Resources | Provision of study materials, participants, documents, or tools |
| Data curation | Managing, annotating, and maintaining research data |
| Writing – original draft | Preparation of the initial draft |
| Writing – review & editing | Critical review, commentary, and revision |
| Visualization | Preparation of figures, tables, and data presentation |
| Supervision | Oversight and leadership of research planning and execution |
| Project administration | Management and coordination of the research activity |
| Funding acquisition | Acquisition of the financial support for the project |
Roles such as Supervision, Resources, or Funding acquisition alone do not qualify for authorship. Every author must also contribute to writing (original draft or review & editing) and meet all four criteria in Section 1.
