Abstract

This study was aimed to describe students’ self regulated learning strategies in academic writing class. The study used descriptive qualitative method. Population in this study was sixth semester students at English Education Department of Jenderal Soedirman University. The data for this study were taken from the result of the Questionnaire for Self-Regulated Learning Writing Strategies (QSRLWS) for EFL learners. The results showed that students of sixth semester applied all kinds of learning strategies which are metacognitive, cognitive, social, and motivational/affective strategies. It can be seen that students have independently sought the best way to help them learning in academic writing class.
