Building the Professionalism of Early Childhood Education Teachers in Arabic Language Learning

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali kompetensi profesional guru PAUD dalam pengajaran bahasa Arab, khususnya di lembaga pendidikan Islam di wilayah Kepulauan Riau. Topik ini penting mengingat semakin tingginya kebutuhan akan pendidikan bahasa Arab sejak usia dini, yang belum diimbangi dengan kesiapan kompetensi guru di bidang tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus untuk memahami makna, strategi, dan dinamika interaksi sosial yang membentuk praktik profesional guru. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dan observasi partisipatif terhadap lima guru PAUD dan dianalisis secara tematik, mengacu pada teori kompetensi profesional dan teori sosial budaya.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru memiliki inisiatif yang tinggi dalam mengembangkan strategi pengajaran berbasis bermain dan interaktif, meskipun menghadapi keterbatasan dalam pelatihan dan materi pengajaran khusus. Praktik pembelajaran yang dilakukan menunjukkan adanya integrasi antara pengetahuan konten pedagogis dan pendekatan sosiokultural, termasuk penerapan perancah dan penciptaan zona perkembangan proksimal (ZPD). Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya dukungan kelembagaan dan materi pengajaran kontekstual untuk memperkuat profesionalisme guru secara berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada pengembangan teori dan praktik dalam pendidikan bahasa kedua anak usia dini dan memberikan dasar untuk pengembangan pelatihan dan kurikulum bahasa Arab yang lebih reflektif dan adaptif. Rekomendasi diarahkan pada pengembangan materi pengajaran kontekstual dan pelatihan guru berbasis praktik kolaboratif di masa mendatang.
