This research aims to uncover the memories embedded in the verses of mahjar poetry anthology by Charbel Baini and link them to social conditions to explore the identity and culture of the Lebanese people. The research analyzes the memories evoked within the collective consciousness of the diaspora community through Jan Assmann's cultural memory approach. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method, gathering data from various sources such as books, previous research, and relevant online references. In the context of the diaspora, mahjar poetry reflects a longing for the homeland, traditions, and experiences interwoven with cultural symbols. The analysis focuses on cultural memory symbols found in the verses, such as songs, dances, culinary traditions, cityscapes, heroes, and wars. The findings reveal that these elements serve as markers of identity, culture, and history, representing not only life in the homeland but also providing emotional strength for the Lebanese diaspora community. This prove that mahjar poetry plays a crucial role in articulating collective memory and maintaining a sense of unity among the diaspora, despite their geographical separation from their homeland.
