Social capital plays a vital role in the implementation of non-formal religious education, particularly within the environment of majelis taklim (Islamic study groups). In this context, social capital serves not only as a supporting element but also as a foundational component that sustains the educational process. This study aims to: (1) describe the construction of social capital in religious educational activities that foster the religiosity of members of the Darul Muttaqien majelis taklim in Kebayoran Lama; (2) explain the strategies employed by the majelis taklim to develop religiosity among its members as well as the surrounding community; and (3) illustrate the impact of social capital on enhancing the religiosity of both members and the local community. The research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, involving four participants—one leader and three members of the majelis taklim. The study was conducted at the Darul Muttaqien Mosque, located in South Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta, from May to June 2025. The findings indicate that social capital significantly contributes to the sustainability of non-formal education through elements such as trust, shared values, and social networks. The internalization of values by individuals leads to meaningful contributions in the learning process. By fostering mutual trust, promoting leadership values, and strengthening social networks, the majelis taklim is able to cultivate the religiosity of its members, which positively influences their daily lives.
