ABSTRACT
This study aims to describe the meaning of being a volunteer teacher at SMA Master Depok and to explain the context that shapes this meaning. Additionally, the study portrays the actions taken by volunteer teachers in supporting marginalized children. The method employed is a qualitative case study approach, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research subjects included volunteer teachers, students, and school staff as supporting informants. The results indicate that being a volunteer teacher holds a special meaning as a form of dedication and seeking inner satisfaction, which is subjectively formed through personal experiences and intensive social interactions. The meaning construction process is influenced by shifts in perceptions towards marginalized children, environmental support, and daily challenges. Volunteer teachers continuously adapt to the social and psychological dynamics of the students and develop strong mental resilience to sustain their roles. The established meaning motivates volunteer teachers to maintain their commitment to contribute despite limitations in facilities and social challenges. Their social actions are the manifestation of a mature interpretation of meaning, ensuring their consistency in carrying out their duties within the context of marginalized educationconsistent in carrying out their duties in marginalized educational settings.
