ABSTRACT
This study aims to analyze the profile of Pancasila students conceptually and policy in the perspective of Citizenship Education in three secondary schools in the city of Bandung, namely SMAN 12, SMAN 23, and SMAN 25. The purpose of this study is to implement the Pancasila student profile policy that has integrity and high morality, and to minimize educational practices that are oriented to commercialization and procedurality. This research uses qualitative approach with Case Study Method. Through this method, researchers can gain an in-depth understanding of the case under study based on the experiences and perspectives of participants directly involved in the study. Researchers used in-depth interviews with participants who are considered to be the main cast and have experience that is relevant to the focus of this study. The conclusion of this study shows that the Pancasila student profile is an important policy in a comprehensive education unit. Although there are still some obstacles in the development of the Pancasila student profile dimension and P5 planning (Pancasila student profile Strengthening Project), the schools that are the location of the research have succeeded in translating and realizing the policy. All subjects agreed that Pancasila student profile needs to be applied in education units in this era. However, they still hope that the application of Pancasila student profiles in education units is not limited to slogans, but can continue to be implemented and can be positively beneficial to the development of character, competence, and attitudes of young citizens. Although it has not yet revealed the precepts of Pancasila as a whole, the dimensions of the Pancasila student profile modify the value of Pancasila and 21st century competence.
