Abstrak
Penelitian ini menguji bagaimana dampak penggunaan media social terhadap remaja di Desa Tenggerlor, Kec. Kunjang, Kab. Kediri serta bagaimana peran mereka dalam mendukung keberlangsungan hidup negara. Media sosial atau sering juga disebut sebagai sosial media adalah pelantar digital yang memfasilitasi penggunanya untuk saling berinteraksi atau membagikan konten berupa tulisan, foto, video, dan merupakan pelantar digital yang menyediakan fasilitas untuk melakukan aktivitas sosial bagi setiap penggunanya. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media social pada remaja di Desa Tenggerlor, Kec. Kunjang, Kab. Kediri memperngaruhi dalam peningkatan kesadaran mengenai isu-isu penting dan peningkatan partisipasi dalam pemilu. Meskipun media social kerap kali digunakan untuk penyebaran berita palsu yang merugikan negara, remaja di Desa Tenggerlor, Kec. Kunjang, Kab. Kediri memiliki sikap kritisisme terhadap informasi yang diterima.
Abstract
This research examines the impact of the use of social media on teenagers in the village of Tenggerlor and their role in supporting the survival of the country. Social media or often also referred to as social media is a digital platform that facilitates users to interact with each other or share content in the form of writing, photos, videos, and is a digital platform that provides facilities for carrying out social activities for each user. Research findings show that the use of social media among teenagers in Tenggerlor Village, Kec. Kunjang, Kab. Kediri has an influence in increasing awareness of important issues and increasing participation in elections. Even though social media is often used to spread fake news that is detrimental to the country, teenagers in Tenggerlor Village, Kec. Kunjang, Kab. Kediri has a critical attitude towards the information received.
