Journal History
Jurnal Pendidikan Ekonomi, Perkantoran, dan Akuntansi (JPEPA) is an open-access scientific journal published online through the Open Journal System, published by the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ), Indonesia. The journal is jointly managed by the Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) and the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. JPEPA was first published on June 23, 2020 (Volume 1, No. 1, June 2020), under the permission issued by LIPI Decree (SK) No. 0005.27229750/JI.3.1/SK.ISSN/2020.07. Initially, the journal was published twice a year, with a minimum of 10 articles per year. However, due to the increasing number of manuscript submissions and the growing interest from researchers, starting in 2021, the publication frequency increased to three issues per year—in April, August, and December—with at least 10 articles per issue. This adjustment aimed to accommodate more qualified research papers and enhance the dissemination of scientific knowledge in the fields of economics, office management, and accounting education. Every submitted manuscript undergoes a thorough review and evaluation process conducted by the editorial board to ensure eligibility and quality without altering the substance of the article.
Related to the Dikti policy that requires all journals in the university to switch to the system of open journal system (OJS), then start Volume 3, No. 3 December 2022, JPEPA migration to UNJ OJS version. The changes are also followed by the change of JPEPA website address from http://pub.unj.ac.id/index.php/jpepa website to http://journal.unj.ac.id/unj/index.php/jpepa.
This migration was followed by various system and service enhancements to maintain the journal’s quality and improve accessibility for researchers and readers. Therefore, based on the editorial meeting of JPEPA on April 1, 2023, in order to improve the quality of article layouts, as well as the use of standard journal formats, starting from Issue Vol 4 No. 2 (August 2023), JPEPA use a new template, and all article submission processes will follow the new format. Also, the JPEPA website displays also gradually improved, until it can be indexed DOAJ. Furthermore, as decided in the Editorial Board Meeting on October 20, 2023, JPEPA continues to enhance the quality of its published manuscripts by inviting reputable authors, editors, and reviewers from Indonesia and abroad. Currently, the editorial board and reviewers come from Indonesia, China, Poland, Turkey, Qatar, Pakistan, Nigeria, and Vietnam, representing various universities with extensive experience as authors, editors, and reviewers in highly reputable journals.
