About the Journal

JURNAL SAINS GEOGRAFI (JSG) is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal published by the Geography Study Programme, Faculty of Social and Legal Sciences, University of Jakarta. The journal is committed to the publication of research findings in the field of geography, with a particular emphasis on studies pertaining to applied geomorphology, climate change, land use/land cover change and its implications, disaster management, natural resource conservation, regional and rural/urban development, Geographic Information System (GIS) applications, and remote sensing. The overarching objective of JSG is to function as a medium for the dissemination of scientific contributions within the geographical field, with the aim of enhancing comprehension and practical application. The journal is published twice a year, in May and November.

The academic journal, JURNAL SAINS GEOGRAFI, is co-published by the Universitas Negeri Jakarta and overseen by the Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) of the Universitas Negeri Jakarta, in conjunction with the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law and the Geography Study Programme of the Universitas Negeri Jakarta.
